Англия, 1920е года. В доме успешного издателя Роберта Кэплена собралась «миленькая маленькая компания» - родственники и близкие друзья семьи. Казалось бы , дружеская беседа резко сворачивает не в ту сторону, когда речь заходит о брате Роберта, Мартине, который год назад покончил с собой при загадочных обстоятельствах.
Уцепившись за маленькую неправду, хозяин дома начинает разматывать целый клубок лжи , который обнажает истинные черты и характеры членов семьи и вскрывает страшную правду.

England, 1920s. A "nice little group"—relatives and close family friends—has gathered at the home of successful publisher Robert Caplan. The seemingly friendly conversation takes a sharp turn when the conversation turns to Robert's brother, Martin, who committed suicide under mysterious circumstances a year earlier.
Seizing on a small untruth, the host begins to unravel a web of lies that reveals the true traits and characters of the family members and uncovers a terrible truth.
